Grande Prairie, AB— CFL Hall of Famers* Willie Pless, Rocco Romano, Herm Harrison and Terry Evanshen along with Pee Wee Smith and Jackie Kellogg will step up to the plate to take on the Grande Prairie Firefighters Baseball Team for the Annual Celebrity Slow Pitch Challenge in Grande Prairie, 7:00pm, Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at South Bear Creek Park. 

Now in our 9^th season, the Celebrity Slow Pitch Challenge is touring Alberta in aid of local charities. As they circle the bases, the CFLPA Alumni Allstars will be raising funds for the Grande Prairie Firefighters Charitable Foundation.  In fact, over the past 17 years, the Celebrity Slow Pitch and Allstars Baseball tours have raised more than $1.6 million for charitable organizations across the country. It's a record we’re all proud of!

Expect to see past CFL football greats and local guest players taking to the diamond to play a spirited game of softball combined with fun, antics and tomfoolery. Add to the fun the hilarious Fire Trucks, Crazy Claude—the Happy Trumpeter, on-field contests and prizes, this friendly match-up is sure to be a winner for the entire family.
