 This is the sixth anniversary of the Celebrity Slow Pitch Challenge Tour. This year your local baseball heroes will unite with CFL Alumni Association Allstars to bring the community together and entertain families with a good old fashioned baseball game. It’s a game where the score never really matters, and the real winners are always the charities that benefit from the day’s proceeds. While winning is always fun, it is not the motivating factor behind the CSPC. Instead, the true goal, when the players hit the ball, is to raise money for worthy local causes and provide the fans with a memorable game. The success of these local charities depends on the generous support from the community and corporate sponsors. Approximately $120,000 dollars was raised last season alone for various charities. As well as local community causes the CFL Alumni will contribute to the CFL Alumni Dire Needs Fund to support former players and their families who are in need of financial support because of medical challenges. |
